What does a violent revenge utopia of Jewish-American agents in Nazi-occupied France have to do with the near bloodless US capture of Innsbruck on 3 May 1945?  What does Tarantino's brilliant but bloody depiction of Hitler's demise, entertainingly removed from reality, have to do with the daring true-life covert "Greenup" commando in Tirol, code-named "Brooklyn"?  This screening, led by Peter Pirker, author of Codename Brooklyn, helps make these connections to show how both a filmed fiction and a true story inspire us to "question established memories and subvert authoritative narratives."
